Homeless Bodybuilder Shows How He Trains For Competitions On The Streets
I spend my life trying to come up with a legitimate excuse to not go to the gym: “It’s not right to start being good on a Thursday, I’ll start on Monday”, “My gym clothes aren’t washed… oh well”, “Gym, what is gym?”
You get the picture, and it’s not a very well toned one. But one French guy, Jacques Sayagh, is putting us all to shame, because despite being homeless he still works out in a serious way, everyday.
Jacques, who is in his fifties, was first captured back in 2014 in a documentary by Julien Goudichaud. The extremely toned Jacques sleeps on the streets with his two dogs, but stays determined to both keep fit and compete in bodybuilding competitions. He trains using resistance bands, and by doing pull-ups against the buildings and road signs where he lives.
You can watch him in action here:
He explains:
“Bodybuilders are futurists, they dare everything…It’s a world that I like… I have grandchildren. I don’t want them to think that their grandfather is an asshole. I want them to be proud of me, that’s all I want.”
Despite now conquering his addictions, Jacques suffers from liver disease due to alcohol and drug abuse. But this hasn’t stopped him in in his tracks, and before a competition he tries to raise enough money to make sure he eats well and occasionally supplements his diet with whey and casein protein.
You can check him out in his most recent competition here, what a champ:
