This Is Why You Should Definitely Be Peeing In The Shower
Do you ever pee in the shower? Do you secretly wee in the shower but never admit it to people? It turns out that people who do relieve themselves mid-wash are actually doing the right thing.
Maybe not the right thing if they’re sharing the shower with anyone, but definitely the right thing for the environment. Yes, that’s where this is going.
Just take comfort in the fact that by peeing in the shower you’re basically saving the entire world.
The Environmental Protection Agency has found that newer toilets use 1.6 gallons of water per flush. According to Mic, that usage accounts for 27% of water waste in America - so presumably a similar amount of wastage happens in the UK.
Now, obviously we’re not suggesting you get rid of your loo forever, but occasionally skipping the added step of getting out of the shower to wee might help the world’s water wastage.
According to Mic, an average adult wees between six and eight times a day, and the flushing of this will add up to around 56 gallons of water across a 24 hour period.
Save water, pee while you shower.
