Tenacious D’s Official Twitter Account Claims Jack Black Has Died Aged 46

In a bizarre turn of events, rumours of Jack Black’s death have been started by the official account for his band Tenacious D.

The band’s official Twitter account posted a tribute to the 46-year-old School Of Rock star, but it’s if they intended to post it or if there is some kind of hacking situation going on.

The star has been a victim of celebrity death hoaxes on numerous occasions and the latest one was reportedly started by a Facebook tribute page which claimed he died in New Zealand.

Jack’s rep said on Saturday: ‘He joins the long list of celebrities who have been victimised by this hoax. He’s still alive and well, stop believing what you see on the Internet.’

And a few people claimed to know of his current (alive) whereabouts:

The twitter account then went on to post:

So, to sum up, there’s a chance Jack Black is dead - but at the moment it seems unlikely. Though, at the rate 2016 is going, it wouldn’t really be a surprise.

UPDATE - it was indeed a troll.
