Shark Killed After Tourists Drag It Out Of The Ocean To Take Pictures
It wasn’t that long ago that we were reporting the death of a dolphin, dragged out of the ocean in Argentina so holidaymakers could take selfies with it, and now the same thing has happened to a shark.
A shocking video - recorded in the Dominican Republic - shows a group of seven men - lifeguards as well as tourists - race into the water, and drag the shark back to shore.
While it writhes around, they can then be seen taking pictures with it, putting a life preserver over its head, and prodding it with a wooden plank.
Pictures posted to social media show a number of Hard Rock Hotel staff posing with the dying animal, and the company have since made a statement, saying that the incident was “absolutely against our standards of protecting animals as we protect our guests”.
