Police Are Hunting For A Teacher Who Got Pregnant By Her 13-Year-Old Student

I don’t really feel like I should have to point this out, but one of the key rules of being a teacher is to make sure you don’t have any kind of intimate relationship with your students.
You’d think it’d be a pretty easy rule to abide by, but judging by the news it sadly doesn’t seem to be…
24-year-old teacher Alexandria Vera is currently on the run from police, after admitting to a relationship she had with a 13-year-old student. The student, who she taught English at a school in Houston, Texas, had originally communicated with her via Instagram. After exchanging messages on social media, they then swapped numbers and agreed to meet up.
After meeting up and kissing in her car, she drove to the boy’s house the following day and engaged in sexual intercourse with him. Her 13-year-old student…
The relationship then developed weirdly further, after an “open house” event at the school, where the boy introduced the teacher to his parents as his “girlfriend”, and they accepted it, even inviting Alexandria to family gatherings.
The relationship then became common knowledge at school with the pair having sex on a daily basis with one student reporting that:
“[The student] like grabbed her butt and everybody saw it. And then they were talking about it.”
Alexandria then reportedly fell pregnant in January, which was again accepted by the child’s parents (huh?), before Child Protective Services intervened recently. The teacher has since had an abortion, and the police are unable to locate her for questioning.
