Meat-Wielding Maniacs Descend Upon A Vegan Café And Attack The Customers With Sausages

With everything that’s going on in the world right now, I don’t think anyone could have anticipated that headline coming. However unlikely though, it did happen and the vegans really aren’t happy about it…

The Kiwi Café in the Georgian capital was attacked by a bunch of seemingly anti-vegan activists who used meat products as their primary weapons. At least 15 attackers targeted Kiwi and, due to the brawl, the venue had to cancel their film screening.

Despite vegans’ apparent anguish towards pig products, the police were called to sort the situation out but the attackers were able to flee before they arrived. As on-scene reports have it, the fight moved onto the streets and a few locals got involved.

Georgia Today described the attackers as ultra-nationalist Georgian Ultras whilst the Kiwi Café page opted for “Neo-Nazis” with “fascist ideals” carrying out “anti-vegan provocative action”.

The Café’s statement said:

“They pulled out some grilled meat, sausages, and fish and started eating them and throwing them at us, and finally they started to smoke…. They were just trying to provoke our friends and disrespect us.”

Ana Gulisashvili, a witness, posted this to Facebook:

“We are now living in a type of hell where people are insulted for their different style of dress. They are beaten for having piercings and mocked for not eating meat. What is worse is that the police laugh at us and further aggravate the situation instead of protecting the city’s residents.”

Witnesses have also said that, upon their arrival, the police mocked the vegans.

It’s really bad that this has happened and people shouldn’t be mocked for life-choices that don’t effect anyone else. Having said that, it would have been funny if one of the vegans made a passing comment about smelling bacon when the police arrived who proceeded to get annoyed at them…
