Genius Invention Scares Teens Into Wearing Seatbelt

Teaching car safety is absolutely imperative for all of those who don’t fully understand the dangers. Whether it’s paying full attention to the road, being tired, under the influence or simply not wearing your seatbelt, all can be deadly.

To make sure local teens wore their seatbelts, police officers visited the University of Hartford to test out their genius invention, The Convincer.

It sounds like some kind of terminator spin-off but, really, it’s just a seat that stops suddenly at 5mph… it’s better than it sounds.

Oddly no-one fancied a second go.

Obviously now we don’t really need a machine to tell us we should wear a seatbelt because most modern cars won’t shut up beeping when you’ve taken your off.

Still a cool idea though.
