Mugging Victim Offers £10 To Struggling Woman Who Raised £330k For Him

You might remember the disabled man, Alan Barnes, who was attacked while putting out his bins. The country united, lead by Katie Cutler, to raise £330k so that he could move to a new home.

Cutler has since admitted that she is in thousands of pounds of debt after a PR deal she made to help increase her fundraising went sour.

According to Cutler, bailiffs are chasing her for £6,687 she owes to PR firm ‘Claire Barber PR’ for help promoting her fundraising efforts.

Barnes, who his national headlines last year after being mugged outside his own home, then offered her £1o towards her repayments of the debt, saying he didn’t want to ‘show off’ by giving her more, and suggested someone else start a GoFundMe page for her.

However, Claire Barber, CEO of the PR firm claims that the money owed is not for work to promote her fundraising, was instead to try and get Cutler on shows like ‘Celebrity Big Brother’.

Barber told The Sun:

“She got me to deal with getting her on shows like This Morning and Good Morning Britain. She mentioned getting her on Celebrity Big Brother and making her a celebrity. I never even went down that road.”

However, Katie denies all the allegations against her and insists that the PR firm was hired to help her launch a charity.

She claims that she had an agreement with the PR company that involved them working pro bono until her foundation had successfully been set up.

‘The important thing is I never signed anything,’ she added. ‘I owe her that money supposedly but I never signed anything.’
