Maltesers’ Ad With Disabled Sex Gag Is All The Rage This Paralympics
You’d have thought it would be in some kind of fever dream that you’d watch an advert where a woman recounts having a spasm whilst giving her boyfriend a hand-job but, no, I’m not at all ill and it happened last night on British TV.
The ad aired during last night’s Paralympics and has caused a fair amount of controversy after featuring a (very) sexual gesture. Storme Toolis (an actress with cerebral palsy who you may have seen in the Inbetweeners) is chatting to her friends about hooking up with her boyfriend when things get a little hot under the collar…
Maltesers made the ad in collaboration with the disabled charity, Scope, which aims to have disabilities shown in a different light and for there to be more diversity on TV and film.
Twitter is loving it, of course…
Shout out to Malteasers. This advert is incredible.https://t.co/hV5s5chuw8

That #maltesers advert during the #Paralympics was so good! We need more representation for people of all abilities. And jokes!

In my opinion, great advert, horrible waste of Maltesers.
