Drake Admitted He’s ‘In Love’ With Rihanna During Speech At The VMAs
People have been wondering whether Drake and Rihanna are a thing for… well, a while.
And then when the duo came out with song ‘Work’ and the steamy music video, people thought it was a sign that the pair were official - but Drake told Ellen a few weeks later that they were just friends.
Fans had a pretty sassy response to that, pointing out that friends don’t tend to grind on friends like this:
Drake was MIA throughout the whole show, and fans were left sad and disappointed when he was not present for Riri’s performances at the show, but right at the end he appeared in a tux and declared his lifelong love for Rihanna before awarding her with the Michael Jackson Video Vanguard award.
Check out the slightly awkward moment here:

Fans were quick to point out that Rihanna seemed to roll her eyes a lil’ bit, and seemed to say ‘that wasn’t funny’ after he handed her the award.
Crikey.
There was also a beautiful moment when Britney swerved G-Eazy and avoided his kiss:

Queen Bey took home seven awards, and she also wowed with a performance from her new album Lemonade. David Bowie took home the award for Best Art Direction for his video ‘Blackstar’, and Kanye made a really long speech. All classic VMA stuff then, really.
