Woman Makes Embarrassing Mistake At Her Local Supermarket And Nobody Tells Her

We all like to pretend we’re totally perfect and have never ever accidentally gotten on the tube going in the wrong direction, totally misunderstood the cooking instructions, or had to do that thing where you pretend to have suddenly remembered something when you have to turn around and walk in the direction you came.

But let’s be honest, we’ve all done some pretty silly things. This lady mistook a trolley shelter for a bus stop. I mean, it doesn’t make her seem like the brightest crayon in the box - but I’ve got a friend who frequently forgets to take off his socks before getting in the shower, and he’s a fully functioning adult. Kind of.

The image was caught on camera by Wayne Crossman, a HGV driver who was grabbing a spot of lunch at Tesco in Great Dunmow, Essex. Probably a meal deal.

Wayne says the woman had asked him: “Do you know what time these things run?” but he hadn’t immediately understood her question. Perhaps she was referring to the famous trolley bus?

It was only once he had got back into his lorry that he realised she had mistaken the trolley stand for a bus stop.

But Wayne says he didn’t have the heart to tell her about her mistake - and watched her stand there for another 15 minutes while he ate his lunch. I don’t know who I’m judging more now, to be honest.

Wayne then drove away with the woman still standing there - so it’s up for debate as to whether he owns a heart.

We also have no idea how long she stood reading her book, waiting for a bus that would never come. Heartbreaking.

“I did feel a bit guilty for not telling her but then I couldn’t help see the funny side of it so I should my friends the picture and they all thought it was hilarious.

Lots of friends did say I should have told her - I suppose I should have. I am sure someone must have said something to her in the end.

It makes me laugh every time I look at the picture. How long did she end up standing there?”

We don’t think you sound very nice, Wayne. One day, you’ll mistake some kind of large plastic shelter for another kind of large plastic shelter, and we hope someone else just takes pictures of you and then looks back on them and laughs.

We went there.
