What The Brit Who ‘Tried To Assassinate’ Donald Trump Had To Say About The Attack
The race to be President of the United States has definitely not been a boring or uneventful one. Probably because Donald Trump is involved.
There have been riots, threats of large anti-immigrant walls, and plenty of other crazy happenings over the pond, but it seems to have come to head today after a 20-year-old brit attempted to steal the gun of an armed policeman, in order to shoot and kill Donald Trump.
Michael Sandford, the man in question, was arrested at a rally in Las Vegas casino after trying to get hold of the weapon as he asked for Trump’s autograph.

According to court papers, he told Police that ‘if he were one the streets again tomorrow, he would try this again‘. He also told officers he was convinced he would die in the assassination attempt, and that he also reserved a ticket for a Trump rally in Phoenix, scheduled for later Saturday, as a backup plan.
The court papers also said:
‘Sandford claimed he had been planning to attempt to kill Trump for about a year but decided to act on this occasion because he finally felt confident to do it.’
Heather Fraley, his assigned public defender, said Sandford appeared to be competent. She said he hadn’t been diagnosed with a mental illness but that he has autism and previously attempted suicide.
His mum told court researchers that he was treated for obsessive compulsive disorder and anorexia when he was younger.
