The New Trailer For ‘Lights Out’ Is Absolutely Terrifying

If you’re scared of the dark, then Lights Out doesn’t exactly look like it’s going to be the film for you..

Starring Teresa Palmer and Gabriel Bateman, it sees a woman and her younger brother tormented by a creature that only appears when the lights are turned off.

A new trailer dropped onto the web today, and by the looks of it, it’s going to be knuckles-white, scream-out-loud, sleep-with-the-lights-on terrifying. Before we say anything else, we’ll let you check it out:

Even if you’re not scared of the dark, the way she disappears and then reappears as the lights flicker is seriously creepy! And, produced by James Wan (who directed The Conjuring and The Conjuring 2), you can bet that there’ll be some pretty impressive jump-scares.

Lights Out is actually based on an award-winning short film (by the same director), and early reviews for the feature length version have been really good.

Lights Out hits UK screens on the 19th August.
