Here’s A First Look At Pixar’s Latest Adorable Short Film

If you’ve seen Lava - the short film that preceded Inside Out - you’ll know that Pixar don’t need a feature-length run-time to make its audiences feel things.

Just under six minutes long, Lava told the beautifully moving story of two lovelorn volcanoes, and pretty much broke our hearts in the process.

Now, for Finding Dory, Pixar have made another short film that looks like it’s going to be every bit as charming as its predecessor.

Called Piper, it charts the adventures of a young sandpiper who’s scared of the ocean.

The director of this new short - Alan Barillaro - told The Telegraph that he thought it’d complement Finding Dory due to its Northern California setting, adding:

“It felt like a character to me and a story that we hadn’t told, a bird that’s terrified of the water.”
