If You Get This Message On WhatsApp Don’t Click On It
If you’re one of the poor people tricked into downloading ‘WhatsApp Gold’, we have bad news for you: it actually infects your phone with malware.
You know what they say about if something seems too good to be true it probably is? Yeah, that. The scammers claimed ‘WhatsApp Gold’ was an exclusive version of the app only previously made available to celebrities. ‘WhatsApp Gold’ allegedly has a video call function, the ability to delete tets that have already been sent, and send over 100 photos at once.

We’re all for sympathy over here at helloU, but this doesn’t even look very legit so if you fell for it you’re just a bit silly really.
In a statement, the WhatsApp team said: “The developers of WhatsApp Plus have no relationship to WhatsApp, and we do not support WhatsApp Plus.”
And, uh, if you get sent this link - don’t click on it. Just in case that wasn’t obvious. It is likely to download malware to your device and share important information with third parties.
And you also wont get WhatsApp gold, because it’s not actually a thing.
Capiche?
