Police Officer Claims He Helped Tupac Fake His Death
David Myers, a retired Las Vegas police officer, now on his deathbed, is claiming that he helped Tupac Shakur fake his own death.
Myers claimed was paid somewhere over $1.5million (£960,000) to help stage the death of one of rap’s most iconic artists.
Shakur, known as 2pac, died in hospital following a drive-by shooting in Vegas back in 1996. He had just been a VIP guest at a Mike Tyson fight at the MGM Grand. But if what Myers’ is saying is anything to go by, that might not be the case.
“The world needs to know what I did. I’m ashamed that I let a price be put on my word and I cannot die without letting the world know.”
He also ‘revealed’ that Suge Knight, who was in the car when 2Pac was shot and is currently serving time in prison, played a huge role in the cover-up. He also claimed tat over 30 people were involved in the fake death – including police, medics and witnesses. Myers even went on to say that 2Pac paid $50,000 for a body double to be taken to the morgue in his place.
2Pac’s death still remains a mystery to authorities, who have no idea who shot him on the night of September 13, 1996. His death has also been one of the biggest conspiracy theories of a generation – with many people claiming to have spotted him over the years.
Coincidentally, however, this latest news (if you can call it that) comes just months after it was reported that a film about his life was due to start filming, after the successes of Notorious and the more recent Straight Outta Compton .
