Man Pretends To Be Blind To Test The Honesty Of Strangers
One creative YouTube user pretended to have lost his sight too see how honest strangers would be when $500 was on the line.
Actor Jag Singh (YouTuber ‘Johal’) donned some dark glasses and a cane, and approached people on the streets of San Fransisco. First he approached people he assumed are wealthy, and then he approached the homeless. He shows them his winning lottery ticket and asks them to confirm if it is indeed a winning ticket.
And the results were pretty shocking.
Although some were quick to tell Singh the truth and congratulate him, a worrying number of others lied and told him it wasn’t a winning ticket - presumably so they could keep the winnings for themselves.
Speaking to the Mail Online, Jag said:
I was extremely sad from the results. Seeing someone who is homeless on the streets and doesn’t take my lottery ticket compared to someone who had a job – it’s a pretty sad thing.
He hopes that his social experiment will persuade viewers to visit a charitable site called Helpfreely.org.
Some people expressed concerns that the video was staged. What do you think? Let us know in the comments
