Girl Thinks She Is Saving A Turtle, Ends Up Killing A Tortoise

Sometimes when you’re doing something super nice, you want the whole world to know about it.

This wannabe do-gooder decided to take to Snapchat to show the world that she was about to save a ‘turtle’. Looking into the camera, and holding the lil fella she says:

“For anyone who runs into a turtle, save it, don’t just leave it on the road. They’re so cute.”

But sadly, it appears the girl doesn’t know that the scaly chap she is about to save by chucking in a pond, is not a turtle, but actually an endangered gopher tortoise.

Tortoises can not swim.

She then smiles into the camera, saying, “Turtle saving is a hobby”, before throwing the poor land-dwelling creature into the water.

It seems unlikely that the gopher tortoise was saved, but we sincerely hope this girl realises what she is doing and takes up another hobby soon.
