Some people start by saying ‘I’m not sure what the problem is…I just feel….’ and so it begins. Sometimes we just have unwanted feelings and we don’t know why, or where they come from. All we do know is that they seem to be present most of the time, and start to impact our lives, our work, our relationships and our health. In therapy we can explore the underlying cause, enabling you to devise your own solutions, creating new and positive pathways forward.
For me there’s no fear factor in therapy. If my body is not functioning as well as it could, I may see my GP or health professional, why then if my thoughts are not as I’d like, would I hesitate to seek assistance?
My approach is based on the premise that our minds and bodies are one, interconnected system. It’s possible that by addressing a hidden emotional cause, that health problems may improve. Therapy can increase your awareness and give you new insight into your patterns and behaviours, thus enabling change and giving you greater choice in life.
