about sonja

web-50Hello, I’m Sonja Rooke and I’d like to welcome you to the site, Please contact me if you don’t find what you are looking for as I’m here to help.

I’m a Neuro-Linguistic Psychotherapist in training, and a Master Practitioner of NLP with many years experience in personal and corporate change work. In a career spanning nearly 20 years, I’ve specialised in learning and personal development working as a trainer, facilitator, and coach with large corporate organisations, local authorities, NHS and education.

I use a variety of tools in my work, allowing me greater flexibility for the client. As well as my primary use of NLP I also utilise techniques from hypnosis, memory resolution, gestalt, cbt, transactional anaylsis and more.

NLP is a positive psychology which supports the principle of an interconnected mind and body. As we mature and develop we create strategies for all that we do. By discovering how our strategies are built, we can build on those that work well and improve on those which no longer serve us well.  I have found that my MSc in Business Information Systems has given me a deep level of understading of systemic interventions.

My early analytical training coupled with in-depth experience in working with people has allowed me to develop a unique and insightful approach when helping individuals and teams. I work to help you to identify patterns of behaviour and explore deep personal issues to find resolution. I provide a ’safe’ and comfortable environment which encourages development and facilitates positive change.

I volunteer with the charity, Escape Family Support, providing confidential support, advice and information to anyone affected by drugs, solvents or alcohol including users, parents, carers, relatives and friends.
