'Commitment Rings' Stop Your Partner From Cheating On You On Netflix

Let’s imagine we’re playing a little game of “I have never”, and I whack out the “never have I ever gone onto the next episode on a Netflix series I’m meant to be watching with a housemate/girlfriend/boyfriend.”

BOOM – I bet you’re all metaphorically drinking right now. But if you’re on the other end of this Netflix-based adultery, it can really hurt. No one wants to watch the end of Breaking Bad alone, dammit.

So ice cream brand Cornetto (of all people?)  have come up with a unique invention to stop Netflix cheaters. Called the “Cornetto Commitment Ring” the technology on these little circles of excellency, mean that you can only watch your fave shows on streaming sites when the two rings are in syncing distance.

I can’t believe we’ve come to the point where an ice cream brand are helping to resolve household disputes, but hey, it’s 2016 out there people. The company are yet to get the ring actually hooked up to the services, but if you’re keen to stop your loved ones/fellow couch potato doing the dirty, you can sign up at www.seriescommitment.com.

Nice play on words, Cornetto.

Excellent marketing stunt, or invention of the future? Let us know in the comments.
