Woman Arrested For Driving With "15 Foot Tree" Stuck In Her Bonnet

Share

As if there weren’t already enough convincing arguments not to drink and drive, the Roselle Police Department have shared a story of a woman they stopped because she was driving with a large tree wedged in her bonnet.

They pulled her over, and noticed that her air-bags were deployed, presumably from when she first hit the tree. She apparently smelt of alcohol, and so they performed sobriety tests, which she (unsurprisingly) failed.

The 54-year-old driver explained that she had hit the tree somewhere in Spruce Court, Schaumburg (where she lived), but couldn’t recall exactly where. It’s also not known how long she was driving for, with the tree attached…

The Roselle PD shared a video of the incident on their Facebook, explaining that:

“Some just didn’t believe it was true, so we have attached a short video of this call.

The first portion of the video is in slow-motion and shows the car traveling in the opposite direction; the second portion shows the officer trying to stop the car and then as he approaches the driver. Yes, it is true and it happened!

DON’T DRINK AND DRIVE!”

Since we are new to Facebook, we were not quite sure what to expect from our post. We have received requests to post the video from this call. Some just didn’t believe it was true, so we have attached a short video of this call. The first portion of the video is in slow-motion and shows the car traveling in the opposite direction; the second portion shows the officer trying to stop the car and then as he approaches the driver. Yes, it is true and it happened! DON’T DRINK AND DRIVE!
